DataGene is working proactively to manage risk and maintain service during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Our priorities are to protect public health and the well-being of our colleagues while maintaining services. We are committed to executing the routine genetic evaluations and the April 14 public release of Australian Breeding Values (ABVs). We aim to continue to provide the services that dairy farmers and service providers rely on for effective herd and business management.
Actions we have implemented include:
- Work-related international travel and domestic air travel has been suspended for all staff .
- Staff have been instructed to follow Australian government guidelines regarding self-isolation.
- Provision has been made for staff to work remotely and have virtual meetings.
We recognise that our people are part of a series of communities – at home, at work, our neighbourhood, our city, our state, our country and around the globe. We aim to do our part to be safe, sensible and flexible.
